Beyond Meat - makers of soy-free meat substitutes including ground beef crumbles that will make you say "Boca who?"

Carolina Cupcakery - *a VA-based business* cupcake bakers extraordinaire, offering a variety of special-diet-friendly cupcakes including vegan (of course!) but also gluten- and sugar-free

Compassion Over Killing - a Washington DC-based nonprofit that "works to end animal abuse by focusing on cruelty to animals in agriculture and promoting vegetarian eating" (per their website); a great source for information about animal cruelty and fun veg swag

Daiya - makers of dairy-free versions of cheese, pizza, and cheesecake (yes, cheesecake!)

DC VegFest - a free annual festival held in Washington DC and hosted by Compassion Over Killing; includes information about a wide variety of veg-friendly products as well as LOTS of yummy vegan food

Field Roast - they specialize in grain meats, but they also make some kickass vegan cheese

Follow Your Heart - makers of vegan staple Vegenaise and also dairy-free cheeses, salad dressings, and more

Gardein - one of the more easy-to-find (but alsy very tasty) makers of meat alternatives, including fish

Lightlife - they make all kinds of veg-friendly meat alternatives including a breakfast-style ground sausage that I couldn't live without

Mercy for Animals - a Chicago-based nonprofit "dedicated to ending the exploitation and abuse of animals" (per their website)

My Vegan Sweet Tooth - *a VA-based business* mind-blowingly tasty vegan baked goods like cinnamon rolls, muffins, and the only vegan donuts in HRVA - now with a store front in Virginia Beach Town Center!

Sophie's Kitchen - delicious vegan seafood (need I say more?)

Tofurky - the OG of meat alternatives

Vegan Outreach - "an organization working to end animal exploitation through the promotion of a vegan lifestyle" (per their website)
